A Wisconsin federal judge has granted class status to a group of law school graduates who have earned law degrees outside that state and want the same right as Wisconsin law school graduates to practice in the state before passing a bar exam. The lawsuit claims that Wisconsin's rule allowing only graduates of the state's two law schools to practice law before passing the bar exam is a violation of the U.S. Constitution's commerce clause.
