A North Carolina federal court reassigned the NASCAR antitrust case to another courtroom Wednesday amid two judicial vacancies and NBA legend Michael Jordan’s race team demanding extraordinary relief by Dec. 18.

Judge Kenneth D. Bell is now overseeing the case filed by Winston & Strawn on behalf of Front Row Motorsports Inc. and Jordan’s 23XI Racing in the Western District of North Carolina. The plaintiffs accuse NASCAR of unlawful monopolization in the premier U.S. stock car racing market and allege they are now suffering irreparable harm.
