The U.S. Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee postponed a vote Wednesday on the reconfirmation of Securities and Exchange Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw, threatening the Democrat’s retention of the seat after President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
A morning committee vote was planned before being delayed to the afternoon. But under Senate rules, a committee vote that late in the day requires unanimous consent from the Senate.
