The U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed U.S. Department of Justice lawyer Sparkle Sooknanan to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Sooknanan, principal deputy assistant attorney general in the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, was confirmed on a 50-48 vote.
