The U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed U.S. Magistrate Judge Joshua Kolar to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, making him President Joe Biden’s fourth appointee to the Chicago-based appeals court.
Kolar was confirmed in a 66-25 vote to fill a seat left vacant when Judge Michael Kanne died in June 2022. Kanne was appointed to the court in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan.
