The Biden administration told the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday that a lower court order barring federal agents from cutting razor wire placed by Texas along the Rio Grande creates a “serious risk to human life.”
The surge of migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border has led to a standoff between U.S. Border Patrol agents and Texas state officials, with vulnerable, undocumented families attempting to reach the United States caught in the middle.
