President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced five nominees for federal judgeships in states controlled by Republican senators, including two picks for a court in Texas.

The president named federal prosecutor Ernest Gonzalez and Magistrate Judge Leon Schydlower for seats in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
