The U.S. Supreme Court’s order striking down affirmative action in college admissions has been a boon to some law firms’ higher education and discrimination practices, which have been advising colleges and universities on many new matters since the ruling.

Law firms have seen an influx of new and old clients from the higher education space as well as the private sector, and some firms are seeing an increase in billable hours in this space. Firms are counseling clients on how to comply with the June ruling and guard against future legal challenges.
