A Brazilian attorney who was working at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher until earlier this year pleaded guilty in Washington, D.C., federal court to insider trading charges for trading based on material, nonpublic information, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia said Wednesday.

Romero Cabral Da Costa Neto, 33, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, who had been working as a visiting attorney at Gibson Dunn in Washington, D.C., since September 2022, was arrested in August by agents with the FBI’s D.C. office.
