Recently confirmed appellate Judge Nancy Abudu said she never imagined herself sitting on the federal bench.
While most jurists were once prosecutors or corporate lawyers, Abudu is among President Joe Biden’s numerous appointees with backgrounds as civil rights attorneys or public defenders. The White House has made a push to increase professional diversity in the judiciary.
