Minutes after the jury began deliberating on E. Jean Carroll’s rape and defamation claims against former President Donald Trump, Carroll’s attorneys brought a new social media post by Trump to the attention of the judge presiding over the case.

On Tuesday morning, Trump posted that he is “not allowed to speak or defend myself, even as hard nosed reporters scream questions about this case at me.” He wrote that Carroll has falsely accused him of rape and accused her of “working with the press.”
