A nominee for a federal trial court in Colorado failed to answer quiz-like questions from a Republican senator during his confirmation hearing Wednesday.
Asked by Sen. John Kennedy, R-Louisiana, what a Brady motion is and how to analyze it, U.S. Magistrate Judge S. Kato Crews said he could not answer. Crews has served as a magistrate judge since 2018, and before that was a partner at Waggener & Foster in Colorado.
