Former Supreme Court clerks, white-collar litigators and law professors were baffled by a report released by the U.S. Supreme Court Thursday after it failed to identify the leaker of an opinion that overturned the nation’s guaranteed right to abortion. 

“The investigation didn’t provide the answers that many wanted,” said Shay Dvoretzky, head of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom’s Supreme Court and Appellate Practice and a former clerk for Justice Antonin Scalia.
