Hours after hearing oral arguments from attorneys representing the New York Attorney General’s Office and businesses linked to former President Donald Trump, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron on Thursday granted the AG’s motion for a preliminary injunction and agreed to appoint an independent monitor to ensure Trump and other business principals do not transfer assets without informing the AG and the court.

Engoron ordered that the Trump businesses are enjoined from “selling, transferring, or otherwise disposing of any non-cash asset” listed on Trump’s 2021 Statement of Financial Condition without providing 14 days of notice to the AG and the court.
