Nicholas McQuaid, a former senior official in the U.S. Justice Department’s criminal division, has returned to Latham & Watkins to reprise his work on white-collar defense and crisis management.

McQuaid most recently served as principal deputy assistant attorney general and led the criminal division in an acting capacity in the early months of the Biden administration. He previously worked at Latham for nearly four years from 2017 through January 2021, including as co-leader of the firm’s litigation and trial department in New York.
