A month after a group of students at George Washington University petitioned to have U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas banned from lecturing at the law school in the wake of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, Thomas has informed the school that he will not be teaching his constitutional law course this fall.

School administrators rejected the call to ban Thomas last month, saying in a statement that “debate is an essential part of our university’s academic and educational mission to train future leaders who are prepared to address the world’s most urgent problems.”
