White House Counsel Pat Cipollone told a top aide to former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows that officials in the Trump White House could be charged with “every crime imaginable” if the former president marched to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, the aide testified Tuesday.

Cipollone told the aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, that White House officials could be investigated for obstruction of justice or defrauding the United States if former President Donald Trump personally marched to the Capitol with his supporters, who were seeking to disrupt the certification of the election.
