The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday sent its first-ever warning letters to companies selling products containing Delta-8 THC, the hemp-derived, increasingly popular cannabinoid-cousin of the better-known Delta-9 THC.
The letters say the companies made unsubstantiated medical-benefits claims about the goods, failed to advise a proper dosage or improperly included Delta-8 in food.
