Attorneys for former President Donald Trump on Wednesday appealed the ruling earlier this week from a Manhattan judge finding that Trump is in civil contempt due to his failure to comply with subpoenas in the New York attorney general’s investigation of his business activities.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron ordered that Trump should be fined $10,000 per day, starting Tuesday, until he purged the contempt to Engoron’s satisfaction.
