Maureen Mahoney is listed on the Latham & Watkins website as a “retired partner.” But retirement has not kept her from using her deep knowledge of the U.S. Supreme Court in important ways. In July, Mahoney co-chaired a committee of Supreme Court practitioners that submitted its views about Supreme Court reform before the Biden Commission.

She and co-chair Kenneth Geller of Mayer Brown told the commission that the high court is “the crown jewel of the nation’s judicial system” and as such, its “institution and rules that have fostered such high professional and public esteem are not to be altered or amended lightly.”
