A federal judge in Washington, D.C., rebuffed an attempt by former President Donald Trump’s spokesperson to shield financial records from a congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.
U.S. District Judge James Boasberg said at the close of an hourlong Zoom hearing Thursday that he would deny a bid from Taylor Budowich to claw back financial records that JPMorgan Chase & Co. already transmitted to the committee, finding he lacked jurisdiction to consider the matter.
