Law firm data leaks are in the spotlight again after the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) released the Pandora Papers in early October and revealed a global web of high-profile politicians and high-net-worth individuals leveraging offshore accounts. The information partially stemmed from the disclosure of confidential client information held by  law firms in various countries, according to reports.

Cybersecurity providers and lawyers said that despite the steadily increasing risk of such exposures, many firms aren’t prioritizing cybersecurity and some still assume they are too small for hackers to target.
