The judge overseeing Sandy Hook families’ lawsuit against Remington Arms ripped the gun manufacturer’s Day Pitney lawyers for failing to follow court rules when subpoenaing records on students and educators killed in the massacre.

The order by Connecticut Superior Court Judge Barbara Bellis doesn’t take issue with the content of the subpoena, which demanded documents that included report cards and attendance and disciplinary records on five 6- and 7-year-olds killed in the 2012 shooting.
