A Manhattan federal judge said Monday that Prince Andrew would likely not be able to avoid service in a civil lawsuit accusing the royal family figure of sexually abusing a woman who was 17 years old.

The comments, from U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan of the Southern District of New York, came as an attorney for the Duke of York denied that his client had been properly served in the case, which was filed last month by plaintiff Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
