Two U.S. Capitol police officers turned to a Wiggin and Dana partner to prepare them for testimony before a U.S. Select Committee examining the events surrounding a violent riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, a hearing where the officers recounted being attacked and called racial slurs by Trump supporters.

David Laufman, whose practice at Wiggin and Dana focuses on congressional investigations as well as white-collar and regulatory matters, represented Capitol Police Sgt. Aquilino Gonell and Officer Harry Dunn, two of the four officers who testified in harrowing detail at Tuesday’s hearing about attacks on officers and the physical and emotional scars that linger from the riot.
