Timothy Bergreen—a high-ranking Democrat lawyer who was a fixture in the Democratic ranks of Congress—has left public service to join Hogan Lovells as a partner in its government affairs group.

Bergreen has spent the last six years as the Democrats’ staff director for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (the last two and a half as the Democrats have been in the majority) and was previously for 12 years chief of staff for Rep. Adam Schiff, D-California.
