Washington partners at the law firms Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton and Paul Hastings are Biden administration picks for key posts at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the White House said Monday.

Sheppard Mullin partner Jonathan Meyer, whose practice focuses on government contracts, international trade and investigations, will be the nominee for DHS general counsel. The White House said Paul Hastings partner Robert Silvers was the nominee for under secretary for strategy, policy and plans.
