Texas’ effort to overturn the presidential election results in four states will not be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court, the justices ruled late Friday.

The court, with Justices Samuel Alito Jr. and Clarence Thomas disagreeing, denied Texas’ motion to file its complaint that the key election battleground states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Georgia violated the Constitution’s electors clause and the 14th Amendment when they made changes to their some of their election rules in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
