Tell us about your top U.S. Supreme Court or federal appeals court victory over the past year and how you and your team achieved the win.

Our top victory was Intel Corp. Investment Policy Committee v. Sulyma, a case in which the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously handed an important win to workers around the country by holding that Employee Retirement Income Security Act fiduciaries cannot escape their obligations by relying on often impenetrable financial disclosures to cut in half the time workers and retirees have to bring their claims under ERISA. Our team developed a strategy that coupled a focus on the plain meaning of the words that Congress used in the statute with a commonsense understanding about how people in the real world interact with dense financial documents.
