A federal judge on Thursday refused to dismiss the Trump administration’s lawsuit alleging John Bolton breached nondisclosure agreements in publishing a damning account of his White House tenure, dealing a setback to the former national security adviser’s hopes of holding onto proceeds from his memoir.

The decision from U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth of the District of Colulmbia, denying Bolton’s request to dismiss the case, came a week after arguments over whether the former national security adviser fulfilled his obligation to submit his manuscript for White House review before releasing the memoir, “The Room Where It Happened.”
