As a brutal fight over the Supreme Court vacancy approaches, Senate Republicans are pushing forward with confirming other judges at a pace that could leave the next president with few vacancies to fill.

President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have overseen the confirmation of 216 Article III judges, including filling all open slots on the powerful courts of appeals. That leaves just 58 district court vacancies, 31 of which have nominees, according to a tracker from the conservative Article III Project.
