The American Bar Association has found another one of President Donald Trump’s judicial nominees, Kathryn Mizelle, “not qualified” for a federal judgeship due to a lack of trial experience.

Trump announced last month that he would tap Mizelle, a Jones Day associate and former clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas, for a seat on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. The ABA’s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary told Senate Judiciary Committee leaders in a letter Tuesday that a “substantial majority” of the group believe Mizelle is “not qualified” for the seat.
