President Donald Trump on Monday was hit with a pair of federal lawsuits seeking to restore full funding to the U.S. Postal Service days after he publicly discussed how a lack of funds for the service would hinder mail-in voting in the November election.
Both lawsuits—one filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the other in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia—seek court orders to reinstate cuts made to USPS and names Trump, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy and the postal service.
