The en banc U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled the House of Representatives has the authority to go to court to enforce subpoenas against current and former White House officials, including one for former White House counsel Don McGahn’s testimony.

The ruling on Friday reverses a divided panel opinion that found the House lacked standing to pursue judicial enforcement of subpoenas issued against the executive branch. If allowed to stand, that ruling could have easily doomed a number of pending House lawsuits over subpoenas issued to the Trump administration.
