Brian Miller, the White House lawyer nominated to serve as the special inspector general overseeing the coronavirus relief response, is scheduled to appear Tuesday before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee for his confirmation hearing, where he can expect questions about his plans to assert independence as a key watchdog overseeing billions of dollars in pandemic relief.
