A federal judge in San Francisco has suspended the trial until June in a case against a Russian man accused of hacking Silicon Valley technology companies, which was underway when the COVID-19 outbreak was declared a global pandemic.
U.S. District Judge William Alsup of the Northern District of California on Tuesday cited questionnaire responses from 11 of the 16 jurors and alternates considering the case who said they preferred to wait until the state and local “shelter in place” orders are lifted before resuming the trial of Yevgeniy Aleksandrovich Nikulin, who is charged with hacking LinkedIn, Dropbox and Formspring.
