Speakers:

Greg McPolin is a Managing Director focused on originating new business with US law firms and companies and is based in New York.

Prior to joining Burford, Mr. McPolin was Managing Director at the Kenyon Group, where he represented legal technology and service businesses in the M&A and fundraising process, while also launching its New York City office. Previously, Mr. McPolin served in various leadership positions at Pangea3, through its transition from startup and following its acquisition by Thomson Reuters. He held roles as General Manager of Pangea3 and COO of Thomson Reuters’ combined Legal Managed Services business. He served in senior sales roles for Applied Discovery, an early entrant in the e-discovery market, remaining there for six years through its acquisition by LexisNexis. Mr. McPolin began his career practicing in the antitrust practice group at Howrey LLP in Washington, D.C.

Mr. McPolin earned his BS from SUNY Oneonta and his JD from Vermont Law School.

Rufus Caine is a Vice President of Burford, responsible for expanding business development efforts to corporate legal departments.

Prior to joining Burford, Mr. Caine served in various roles at Axiom Law, most recently as a Director, where he was accountable for growing a book of business with leading in-house departments and managing executive level relationships, including those at several Fortune 100 companies. Before Axiom, Rufus was a litigation associate at Willkie Farr and Gallagher in Washington, DC and Legislative Counsel in the U.S. Senate where he oversaw a wide range of domestic policy matters.

Mr. Caine earned his BA from Boston College and was a Rhodes Scholar finalist, before earning his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
