It was buried on page 38 of Tuesday’s landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision upholding President Donald Trump’s controversial travel ban.
But there it was: a surprise statement that human rights advocates have sought for decades. The court repudiated the reviled 1944 decision in Korematsu v. United States, which affirmed the mass internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.
