We’ve all seen a lot of popular theories and predictions go bust during these pandemic-crazed times. One that I heard in the early part of the shutdown in the spring of 2020 was that firms’ litigation departments were going to get hit hard because courts were closed.
On its face, it made sense. Courts did grind to a halt, and even when they tried to get things going with Zoom trials and the like, they often encountered problems. Many court systems are facing backlogs.
