Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth is expanding into Texas with a new full-time office in Austin that will focus on patent litigation, according to a press release from the firm. Joining the Stradling patent litigators in the office is Bill Parrish, who will serve as of counsel. Parrish was previously a shareholder at Jenkens & Gilchrist and has experience with IP disputes, business torts and breach-of-contract claims.

Also venturing into Austin is Balch & Bingham, which added energy partner Todd Kimbrough to lead the opening of its new office. A former Holland & Knight partner, Kimbrough focuses his practice on electricity and natural gas regulations and economic issues related to energy infrastructure and market design. According to Balch’s announcement, the new location will bring the firm’s total number of offices to 11.
