Auction house Sotheby‘s made its first-ever sale of non-fungible tokens with the help of attorneys in Seward & Kissel’s business transactions, blockchain and cryptocurrency, and tax groups, according to a press release. The New York-based auction house collaborated with a digital artist known as Pak to sell the NFTs. The three-day auction was hosted by NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway and brought in nearly $17 million.

Morrison Cohen worked with Morelli Law to represent Mark Perez, a man who sustained a traumatic brain injury from a work accident, according to Bloomberg Law. Perez sued Live Nation Worldwide Inc., which operates the theater where he was doing construction work at the time of the accident, for the resulting permanent injuries. A New York appeals court ruled that the defendant must pay the plaintiff $20 million for pain and suffering.
