Roughly two years ago, I did a series on alternative legal service providers and their impact on mid-market firms, focusing on whether they were a threat, and how midsize firms should react. The general consensus was that they were a threat, and that firms should look to partner with them where they could, or adopt some of their approaches.

Since then, there’s evidence that most firms are working with ALSPs, either outside providers or captive ones inside the firms themselves, and that firms are benefitting.
