Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt is part of a legal team representing Bayer and Monsanto in a suit alleging the company’s products harmed students and teachers at Sky Valley School in Monroe, Washington, reports Courtroom View Network. The plaintiffs, three former teachers at the school and one teacher’s spouse, claim that the presence of Polychlorinated Biphenyls formerly found in Monsanto products used on school grounds led to a range of health issues in students and teachers, including cancer and death. Monsanto says the carcinogenic chemicals in its products were not present in high amounts around the school and that the school building’s age could have been a component in the alleged increased incidents of disease.
