Julie Fess, former owner of Fess Consulting, joined Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart as a government affairs consultant. According to an announcement from the firm, she is based in Gunster’s Orlando and Tallahassee, Florida, offices. Her experience with Florida’s political, regulatory and legislative process includes working in the Florida House of Representatives and serving as chief legislative assistant to the speaker of Florida.
Former Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry partner Richard Bortnick is now partner at Freeman Mathis & Gary. Bortnick will split his time between the firm’s Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, New Jersey, offices, Freeman Mathis announced. He will be a part of the cybersecurity team, where he will handle matters related to cyber and technology risks, exposures and insurance, and professional liability, directors and officers, and commercial litigation.
