McGlinchey Stafford brought on Aaron Kouhoupt as of counsel in its Cleveland office, according to an announcement from the firm. He will be a part of the firm’s consumer financial services regulatory compliance team. He has experience serving as in-house and outside counsel, advising a clientele of banks and financial institutions on regulatory compliance matters, bankruptcy and risk management. According to LinkedIn, prior to joining McGlinchey Stafford, Kouhoupt was associate general counsel at LendingClub in San Francisco.
Five years after opening its first office in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Varnum relocated to a new downtown location at 101 North Main St. The move to a larger office is in response to an increase in business and attorney head count in the area, according to a press release. Acting as Varnum’s lead attorney in Ann Arbor is business law attorney Matthew Bower. The new office houses lawyers in a range of practice areas.
