The vast majority of firms who became “Mansfield 2.0 Certified” in September occupy the Am Law 100. But some midsize firms made the cut, and like their Big Law counterparts much of their motivation boils down to a common denominator: clients.

As part of a program launched in 2018 by Diversity Lab, firms that are eligible for “Mansfield” certification have revamped their recruiting and promotion processes to ensure that 30% of potential candidates for “significant” leadership roles are diverse.
