Banner & Witcoff announced that it successfully defended Nike Inc. against claims that the company infringed on 19 patents. The plaintiff said that several of Nike’s athletic footwear styles violated patents related to the shoes’ soles. The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina granted summary judgement in Nike’s favor, saying that there was no patent infringement.
