The irony is not lost on Stewart Edelstein.

Edelstein, who practiced as a commercial trial lawyer for 40 years at Cohen and Wolf in Connecticut and taught clinical courses at Yale Law School for 20 years, preaches the virtues of cogency throughout his book “How to Succeed as a Trial Lawyer.” But the book's third edition, released by the American Bar Association last month, comes in 25% longer than the second.
