Kenneth Feinberg is arguably the biggest name in alternative dispute resolution.

He worked pro bono to oversee the federal government’s fund for the families of those who died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He was the “pay czar” for executives of companies that took money as part of the Troubled Asset Relief Program following the 2008 financial crisis. He also oversaw victim compensation funds after the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the Virginia Tech shootings, and the Boston Marathon bombing, just to name a few.
