Today we have the second part of our conversation with Carlos Brown, the senior vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer of Richmond, Virginia-based Dominion Energy. In our earlier installment, Brown described how his training as a transactional attorney at McGuireWoods and his background on the business side of Dominion shaped his approach to litigation. In this portion of our conversation, Brown describes how the energy company, which provides gas and electric utility services in 19 states, makes litigation hiring decisions and what he’s looking for in outside counsel.
